The Kitchen

Our four (4) full time chefs work closely with interns, externs and kitchen volunteers to prepare 10,000 nutritionally balanced meals each week. Project Angel Food has intern and extern partnerships with a number of the best culinary schools in the Los Angeles area. These organizations can rest assured that their students are being guided skillfully alongside our chefs in proper and safe food preparation practices. The chefs are also responsible for the 10-15 volunteers that work in our kitchen on a daily basis. Volunteers receive instructions on food and personal safety procedures to ensure the best results for everybody.

More than just cooking

Dedicated chefs, committed volunteers and the freshest ingredients available pave the way for Project Angel Food to live up to our mission each and every day. Having talented chefs is really only half of the equation. Fresh ingredients are also key to providing amazing meals to our clients. Project Angel Food uses the freshest meats, produce and dairy products possible. We are exceptionally proud of the vegetables we grow in our very own Community Gardens. The knowledge that the meals we deliver must do more than just nourish the body compels us to find new and innovative solutions.
